The Christmas season is almost upon us. This season, Asia’s superstar Lee Joon Gi, who is one of the biggest draws in South Korean drama history, has the honour of celebrating Mickey Mouse’s birthday with the iconic mascot of the Walt Disney Company. The world-famous Disney character turns 90 this year. In honour of the cartoon character’s major milestone, the Green Umbrella Children's Foundation hosted a ‘Green Santa cum Mickey Mouse’ Christmas Gift Wrapping Event for 500 children from disadvantaged families on 28 November 2018.

The Mickey Mouse 90th anniversary event at the Seoul City Hall was attended by celebrities and dignitaries in green Santa suits. Other than Lee Joon Gi, actress Shin Sye Kyung; Jin Sung-joon, the Deputy Mayor of the Seoul Metropolitan Government; Park Hyeok, the Chairman of the Green Umbrella Children’s Foundation and all the Disney Korea employees celebrated the event with Mickey Mouse.

Lee Joon Gi, Mickey Mouse and all the Green Santas had a blast creating a magical experience for the children. It was a Christmas experience with a difference as the Green Santas were without the distinctive red suit, white beard, glasses and bulging tummies.

One thing is undeniable: Lee Joon Gi, the consummate multi-talented artist - actor, martial artist, martial arts choreographer, model, popstar and entertainer, is the ever-green favourite personality in the showbusiness industry. Lee looked slim, handsome and gorgeous in his green Santa suit.

The ever-charming Lee, who grew up watching Walt Disney’s Mickey Mouse Cartoons, divulged that he had many wonderful childhood memories. He declared he was taking the golden opportunity provided by the meaningful children’s event to give the young ones the same precious memories. Children are, undoubtedly, one of the things that matter to him. No wonder Lee is a hero to adults and children alike.
