LEE JOON GI NEW YEAR GREETINGS 2019 📷 Lee Joon Gi’s 2019 New Year greetings are full of optimistic wishes for himself and positive messages for his fans and admirers. WISH FOR MORE DREAMS TO COME TRUE Not unlike other people, Lee Joon Gi hopes that he would be able to turn more of his dreams into reality. 📷 The King And The Clown Many of his dreams have already come true. No one could have predicted Lee Joon Gi’s accelerated rise to Asian showbusiness stratosphere after he played the effeminate Gong Gil in the colossally successful Korean movie, ‘The King and The Clown’ in 2005. It was that single stroke of luck that changed the course of his life. Since then, Lee has starred in many successful dramas and movies including ‘Time Between Dog and Wolf’, ‘Arang and The Magistrate’, ‘The Joseon Gunman’, 'Moon Lovers-Scarlet Heart: Ryeo', 'Lawless Lawyer' and 'Resident Evil: The Final Chapter'. 📷 ‘The Oustanding Korean Actor Award 2013' The Seoul International Drama Awards (Arang And The Magistrate) 📷 Arang And The Magistrate The Joseon Gunman had snagged him his second ‘Outstanding Korean Actor Award’ at the *Seoul International Drama Awards in 2015. Moon Lovers-Scarlet Heart was an overwhelming global success in 2016; he enjoyed an even higher profile and gained many new and unexpected fans and admirers. And nobody will ever forget Lee Joon Gi’s Wang So.

His most significant drama to date is Lawless Lawyer, a deeply affecting legal-action-thriller, for which he was presented with the ‘2018 StarHub Best Male Asian Star Award’. With Lawless Lawyer, Lee Joon Gi has established himself as a formidable presence; he is The Asian King of Dramas.

Speaking of which, he has recently indicated that he wants to win an Academy Award or Oscar. Wishful thinking? Not far-fetched. What, if he were in a movie? A foreign movie. If his multiple talents are fully utilised, his dream would materialise and then, he will be a global presence. Asia isn’t enough, of course but the world is just enough. The universe is much too vast a goal. Let’s say what Lee Joon Gi wants, he gets. It is possible. Shouldn’t his battle cry, then be ‘Joonpossible’? When Lee asks his fans what their dreams are, he poses a stimulating question. It takes a great actor to awaken captive minds from their current slumber. This should kickstart some thinking and stimulate his fans’ appetite for an even better life. It is not easy to forget that Lee Joon Gi has been South Korea’s cultural diplomat ever since he shot to fame in 2005 when The King and The Clown hit box office success. Lee received over 10 awards for his portrayal of Gong Gil. 📷 📷 2018: 15,000 Japanese fans (top left) Yokohama (bottom left) Osaka and (right) Tokyo 📷 Other than the local audience, Lee has entertained many international fans and viewers, having gone on yearly singing tours in Asia and starred in many local and also foreign dramas and films.  That said, fans never forgot that he had disappeared from the showbusiness scene when he enlisted in the army in 2010. But when he returned, he continued as before. It is as if he has never left. In fact, he continues to leave indelible marks in Asian showbusiness history.
